Surrey Dog School offers a range of dog training services to cater for your dog’s training requirements.

Based in Walton, Surrey Dog School was formed in 2020 and is run by a team of dedicated, caring and professional staff led by a fully qualified and experienced dog trainer with over ten years experience and registered with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

Our trainer’s qualifications and accreditations

Our head trainers Sarah and Louisa are proud members of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (01455 and 01500). All members of the APDT are assessed according to a strict criteria which ensures they have appropriate skills to teach dog training.

Our services are aimed to assist owners with dogs throughout all stages of their life.

Whether it be a preparation telephone call (or remotely via Skype or Zoom) or a visit to get you set up for the arrival of a new puppy, visit when your new puppy is home, a visit to your home to address some specific issues, some training on a walk, or even us doing regular training with your dog for you if you struggle for time We are also happy to arrange regular dog walks. We offer a wide range of classes to suit all requirements, at our Walton-On-Thames training centre.

Upcoming dog training classes and workshops

We have a range of classes to suit all ages and abilities. Starting with Puppy Class, Puppy Follow-On and progressing on to Intermediate Class and Intermediate Follow-On.

All our classes run for six consecutive weeks and cost £195 (inc. vat) unless specified otherwise. If you are attending our puppy class, your puppy can attend as soon as they are fully vaccinated and able to mix safely with other puppies and dogs. Your first class will be theory based and you are required to attend without your puppy. Details will be emailed to you nearer to the class start date.

Workshops are one-off sessions and vary in price. These are perfect for dog owners who cannot commit to a full course or perhaps those who are struggling in one specific area.

Puppy and Puppy Follow-On have eight places per class. Intermediate and Intermediate Follow-On have six places per class. Classes run for approx. 50/60 minutes.

Workshop durations vary and have between four to eight places depending on the nature of the workshop.

Held at either our Walton-On-Thames School or your home, our consultations are tailored to suit the exact need of you and your dog. Typical problems that can be resolved are pulling on the lead, jumping up or recall to name a few.
